Architect and designer Thomas Houha tells us that the technical term for his ingenious Star Orb is a "stellated dodecahedron inside a dodecahedron." That sounds amazing. But "decorative object of an unusual design" or "totally incredible laser cut thing" makes slightly more sense to us. Whether or not you understand the mind-blowing geometry behind the Star Orb, you'll be surprised both by how easy it is to put together and how impressive the finished project is. While it appears to be exceptionally delicate, there's a surprising sturdiness to the assembled kit. The laser cutting is precise, the instructions are a breeze to understand, and the fascinating design is quite something to behold.
