The Natural Curiosities Set features original artwork by Jacob Hoefnagel, a Dutch artist active in the late 16th and early 17th centuries. Known especially for his engraved studies of the natural world, Hoefnagel's work was used as a resource for his peers, painters of iconic Dutch still life images, and as sources for artists well into the 1800s.
This tattoo set was created by Tattly in partnership with the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. Each set includes 2 each of 4 Hoefnagel engravings - with no skin engraving required - packaged in a card stock sleeve with a full-color photo on the front. There's even a handy sponge included.
