In addition to being a creative DIY project, the Great Rhombicuboctahedron Model Kit doubles as an epic tongue twister. Carefully designed by architect Thomas Houha and rendered in sturdy matboard, the Great Rhombicuboctahedron ("Rhombi" for short) is based on the ancient principles of sacred geometry. Whether or not you understand the Rhombi's mind-blowing math, you'll be surprised both by how easy it is to put together and how impressive the finished project is. While it appears to be exceptionally delicate, there's a surprising sturdiness to the assembled kit. The laser cutting is precise, the instructions are a breeze to understand, and the fascinating design is quite something to behold.
